Alaskan Statehood
Timeline:
The idea of Alaska becoming a state started in 1916 when Alaska wrote and 'introduced it to Congress'("Timelines " ). It was not passed though.
Then in 1946 Alaskans were asked to vote on them applying for statehood. With an agreement to do so, another bill is puta in place. 1958, the measure passes with President Eisenhower signing the statehood bill.
